Description: Two years after the battle of Bosworth and the accession of Henry VII, Yorkist rebels make one last attempt to overthrow the Tudor dynasty. Lacking any available surviving Yorkist claimants, a boy by the name of Lambert Simnel was proclaimed to really be Prince Edward, miraculously having survived the plots of his Uncle Richard III years ago. The Yorkists, supported by German mercenaries, and gathering rebel supporters in Ireland, marched southwards through England, while the royalists scrambled to assemble an army and intercept them. The two forces met at Stoke Field, outside of Newark, along the River Trent.
